Harry Potter or Harry the Accountant?

by

Action-Figure.com was given a special sneak peek at the new Harry Potter action figures due out next year before Order of the Phoenix arrives.

I’m sure in the world of collectible action figures these are considered top-notch and first class, but I just can’t get past the fact that Harry looks like an accountant.

Everything, right down to his sweater and belt, says, “They just opened a Sears in Diagon Alley…Expecto Taxonum!”

Whether Harry looks like an accountant (left) or Grandpa (below…a little Photoshop on the right-hand image to help illustrate the point) these action figures just don’t quite capture the spirit of the books or the movies. The level of detail is obviously impressive, but the style choices leave a lot to be desired. Even if they were just trying to be faithful to Harry’s style in OOTP, I doubt his OOTP style is really this bland.

I think he looks like Bill Gates there.

Potter magic should have stayed with the geeky kid. Magic looks stilted when you are teenager…looks like grandpa accountant Gates:)

    Nice special effects:)

[...] Back in December Hogwarts Herald brought you a story about the forthcoming Harry Potter Action Figure. While impressive in its detail, it is rather lacking in its style…basically, Harry looked like an accountant. [...]
